While joining StaffView and creating your profile is completely free, I want to ensure that the platform remains sustainable and provides value to both teachers and schools. That's why the platform is a pay-per-use model that charges a fee of $3.95 to the educator when they are successfully booked for a teaching/support job through the platform.
As a relief teacher I understand the budget constraints we all experience, and it was a huge decision to put the fee onto the teacher vs the site. At the end of the day the service is something that I believe in and want relief teachers to experience. It is a project I personally and solely invested in and is something that would have been easier to charge hundreds of dollars for towards the employer. Yet, I have not, because I think together, we can work towards making something work well for Adelaide. My customers are you…the staff and your voices need to be heard. You essentially are paying for the service of being heard and valued and changing the game for all relief staff!
A fee free platform for schools and centres provides a flexible and risk-free service that can be utilised by sites of all sites without budget constraints. It aims to get more sites onboard thus providing the relief teacher with a broader range of job opportunities and increasing their exposure to nearby sites.
StaffView aims to make opportunities accessible to all teachers, regardless of their budget constraints. The $3.95 fee is approximately 1% of what a first-year teacher will make for their days work. The fee is the same regardless of one’s hourly pay rate. The fee is also the same for a booking that spans more than one day.
The fee is necessary to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform, to maintain and improve the service and support excellent customer service.
Each time you are booked for a job and pay a fee you are investing in a thriving community of teachers and schools, fostering better matches and opportunities for all parties involved.

There's no need to regularly update your availability - simply focus on applying for the positions that best suit your schedule. You're no longer tied down by predetermined availability. Instead, decide on the day or even the week itself if you're available for relief teaching. This flexibility empowers you to take on work that fits perfectly around your existing commitments. Imagine the freedom – no more guilt about scheduling yourself available and then realising you need a well-deserved break. Our system ensures you stay in control. If you're unavailable, no requests will flood your inbox. It's as simple as not logging in to your dashboard on that particular day. No stress, no hassle – just pure control over your relief teaching journey.
This is beneficial for the schools and centres, in that StaffView is eliminating the need for schools to manually sift through availability updates. Our system enables schools to plan ahead with more certainty. Instead of waiting for last-minute confirmations from staff that appear available yet do not respond, you simply see who has applied.

StaffView believes in limiting unnecessary interruptions during your downtime: Relax and recharge without constant notifications about jobs that you may be interested in disrupting your precious downtime.
As of August 2024, in addition to the notification bell on your StaffView Dashboard, we’ve introduced email notifications. Sites will receive emails when there are new applicants or if an applicant withdraws their application. Teachers will receive emails notifying them if they have been booked, were unsuccessful, or if a job has been cancelled. We remain committed to enhancing our notification system based on user feedback to ensure you stay well-informed.

StaffView's user-friendly platform, guides schools and centres to select from the three distinct educational stages - Early Years, Primary, or High School when posting their job vacancy.
When posting a job, they must refine the category to Junior, Middle, or Upper Primary, ensuring that the position matches the expertise and experience of potential applicants.
You will only see positions that match your profile. You will apply for jobs that you are confident taking and without the need to be first in best dressed you can read the description first.
The platform features two separate open textboxes that allow sites to provide additional information, special requirements, or any other relevant details.
Jobs cannot be edited once there are applicants. The school or centre will be prompted to cancel and recreate the job or asked to notify the successful applicant of the changes. This helps to minimise drastic job changes from junior primary to upper primary classes. When creating a job ‘various release’ and multiple year level categories can be selected. This will ensure that the applicants are staff that are comfortable with various year levels and have selected this on their profile.

When relief staff members access job postings they can easily find and access the provided site contact number. This direct line of communication ensures that relief staff can quickly and efficiently reach out to the relevant school or centre personnel for any inquiries, clarifications, or updates.
For schools and centres, by adding a site contact number for their relief teacher coordinator they are streamlining communication and fostering a stronger connection with relief staff. It enables efficient coordination, ensures smooth transitions, and contributes to an overall positive teaching experience.

Schools and centers can see a complete list of teachers and educators who have worked at their site, along with relevant details about their qualifications and experience. This provides valuable insights into the pool of available relief staff. Staff will be accumulated as they have been to the school or centre, therefore they will be building a unique collection of staff that they have met. They can be found on their ‘Dashboard’ under ‘My Teachers’.
From the list of teachers who have worked at their site, schools and centres have the option to add specific teachers to their 'Favourites' list. The 'Favourites' list on StaffView serves a distinct purpose and is not utilised for sending shift requests exclusively to specific staff before opening the job to other applicants.
The primary function of the 'Favourites' list is to highlight teachers who have received positive feedback and have been well-received among the staff at the site. It provides schools and centers with a convenient tool to identify and acknowledge these preferred teachers during the selection process for relief shifts.
When it comes to shift requests, StaffView maintains a fair and transparent process. Shift requests are not limited to the 'Favourites' list; instead, they are open to all qualified teachers. This ensures that every eligible teacher has an equal opportunity to apply for available shifts.
The platform's approach guarantees a balanced and inclusive selection process for relief teaching assignments. It allows schools and centres to consider a broader pool of qualified candidates while still benefiting from the insights provided by the 'Favourites' list.
